Dress Regulations

To complement the quality standard of our Club, we request the following dress rules apply:

  • Members and guests must be clean and tidily dresssed at all times.

  • The wearing of swimwear as an outer garment is not permitted.

  • Footwear must be worn at all times (thongs are OK).

  • Caps and hats must not be worn on Club premises after sunset unless for medical or religious purposes.

  • No singlets after sunset.

Interpretation of dress can sometimes be difficult. The decision of Management shall be made in the interests of members and their guests.


Responsible Service of Alcohol

No More, It's The Law

The Liquor Licensing Act aims to ensure that those who consume alcohol only do so in a responsible manner. The Pacific Palms Recreation Club is committed to the principles of responsible service of alcohol. All employees adhere to the following responsible service of alcohol practices.

  • No liquor will be served to minors (under 18 years of age).

  • No intoxicated persons will be admitted to the Club.

  • Intoxicated persons will be refused service of liquor.


Responsible Conduct of Gambling

The Pacific Palms Recreation Club is committed to the responsible service of gambling and are a member of Club Safe from Clubs NSW.

The Gambling Legislation Amendment (Responsible Gambling) Act 1999 and other regulations aim to ensure that registered clubs and hotels adopt responsible practices for gambling activities conducted on their premises.

The Club's responsible gambling practices recognise that the majority of patrons who participate in gambling do so as an enjoyable activity but that for some, gambling causes significant problems.

Pacific Palms Recreation Club has a Self Exclusion scheme in operation.

Members Access to Information

This Club is by law required to keep a register containing information that relates to the management and financial administration of the Club including:

  • A list of disclosures, declarations and returns made by the governing body and employees of the Club

  • The salary bands of the Club's Top Executives where this exceeds $100,000.

  • Details of the overseas travel made by the governing body and employees of the Club.

  • Details of loans given by the Club to employees.

  • Details of certain contracts executed by the Club.

  • Salary details of Club employees who are close relatives of the Club's governing body and Top Executives.

  • Details of the payments made by the Club for consultant services.

  • Details of legal settlements made by the Club with a member of the governing body or employee of the Club.

  • Details of legal fees paid by the Club for a member of the governing body or an employee of the Club.

  • The Club's annual gaming machine profit.

  • The amount applied by the Club to community development and support.

In addition, the Club must prepare quarterly financial statements for the governing body that incorporate the Club's profit and loss accounts and trading accounts for the quarter, and a balance sheet as at the end of the quarter.

Members may view the register or the financial statements by written request to the Club.
